ARBA recognizes Golden and Lynx and lists an 11-pound maximum. The Palomino specialty association describes the breed as a medium-sized commercial type, with ideal weights around 9–10 pounds. Golden and Lynx are parts of one breed, but deserve separately identified photographs and explanations. A photograph's brightness or white balance can change how the coat appears on screen. A useful comparison therefore labels the variety rather than asking readers to infer it from a warm or cool image. The rabbit's name is inspired by color; it does not imply biological kinship with a Palomino horse.
