An undisclosed foundation is not a solved genome
Knowledge for understanding and preserving Palomino.

The Palomino's original contributing stock is incompletely identified in the Conservancy history. Its Golden and Lynx varieties are well-described phenotypes, but that does not justify publishing an exact molecular genotype for the entire breed. Separate observable coat characteristics, documented pedigree history and laboratory genetic results. Keeping those evidence types distinct makes this breed's story more informative, even where a historical question remains open.
