Terms of Use

The practical rules for using Conservation Legacy, sharing information, participating in community, and supporting conservation work.
Effective August 30, 2026

Using Conservation Legacy

Conservation Legacy is a conservation, education, archive, community, ranch and bloodline platform. By using the platform, you agree to use it lawfully, respectfully, and in ways that do not harm people, animals, records, accounts, or the service.

Your account and contributions

You are responsible for activity under your account and for information you choose to submit. Do not upload material you do not have permission to share. Registration papers, private evidence, exact addresses, unpublished records and other sensitive material may be kept private or restricted even when a related public record exists.

Horse and pedigree records

Pedigree, registry, life-status and conservation information can contain incomplete, disputed or newly discovered evidence. Conservation Legacy may review, correct, merge, archive or qualify records as evidence changes. A database entry is not a guarantee of ownership, registration status, breeding suitability, veterinary condition or legal title.

Ranches, listings and inquiries

Ranch pages are independent participant pages inside Conservation Legacy. Ranches remain responsible for their horses, services, listings, representations, transactions and direct payment links. Conservation Legacy does not become the seller, veterinarian, transporter, breeder or contracting party merely by displaying a ranch or horse.

Support and payments

Payments made through Conservation Legacy are processed through the platform's connected payment provider and may be tied to general support, a project or a published sponsorship opportunity. Direct-payment links on a ranch page send support to that ranch outside Conservation Legacy's tracked contribution totals. Conservation Legacy is not currently represented as a 501(c)(3), and support is not promised to be tax-deductible.

Community standards and moderation

Harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation, exploitation, spam, dangerous instructions, deliberate misinformation and repeated disruptive behavior may be removed or restricted. Reports are reviewed in context. Blocking another member changes what you see and is private to your account.

Educational information

Library, University, games, community discussion and horse-care material are educational resources. They do not replace a veterinarian, attorney, accountant or other qualified professional when professional advice is needed.

Availability and changes

Features may change as the conservation platform grows. We may suspend access when needed for security, abuse prevention, maintenance, legal compliance or protection of the underlying records and community.
