Beveren — Watch. Current Conservancy list, checked October 4, 2026.

Conserving this rabbit means keeping its population history as well as its appearance. The British club's changing name offers a useful lesson in how one breed community can help create wider standards and institutions. A breed library should explain the American varieties while clearly labelling discussions of additional varieties elsewhere. That avoids treating a regional recognition difference as evidence that an animal is mislabeled. Breeder-supplied images should identify the standard and variety being represented.
