The blue variety can be discussed alongside research linking rabbit coat dilution with MLPH. That is a species-level explanation of pigment distribution, not a claim that a sample of today's Beverens was analyzed in the cited paper. White is also an appearance that can arise in more than one genetic context. Eye color, pedigree and the full phenotype matter when discussing it. Avoid assigning a molecular genotype from an image. An inherited color is one part of an animal's biology; it does not measure every other trait or the diversity of its breeding family.
