The society's history page acknowledges uncertainty about the precise foundation crosses. It presents the Gilan connection and Count Orloff association as historical accounts while noting that different historians disagree. That admission is important evidence about what remains unknown; it should not be edited away to create a falsely complete origin recipe.

The page also identifies North American advertising and poultry-journal reports from 1919 and 1921. Those dated records are firmer evidence of presence than an unsupported claim of an earlier import. Its discussion of Black Russian Fowl explains how an old breed name can lead to mistaken recognition histories. Breed conservation depends partly on resolving these documentary identities: preserving an archive requires knowing which population a particular article or illustration actually describes.
