Orloff history should be presented cautiously where accounts of Count Orlov and earlier origins conflict. Its beard, upright form and regional breeding history offer firmer teaching ground than an overprecise origin legend. Preserve the relationship between type and function, and keep historical claims clearly attributed instead of turning an uncertain narrative into a guaranteed pedigree.
