Two comb forms in a true bantam

Knowledge for understanding and preserving Nankin.

The Rare Poultry Society describes Nankins with a neat small body, forward breast, low-carried wings and a high, well-spread tail. It recognizes both Single and Rose Comb head forms. The single comb is fine and proportionate; the rose comb fits closely and has an upward-curving leader. Showing both helps avoid the misconception that one comb form represents a separate large-fowl breed shrunk to bantam size.
