This profile concerns non-industrial Leghorn populations, not the assumption that every commercial white layer preserves the same stock. Leghorn influence in industrial egg production can make a rare heritage variety appear more abundant than it is. Teach variety and breeding-line identity alongside the breed's laying history, and keep commercial hybrid performance figures separate from observations of heritage flocks.
