The Poultry Club credits Cornwall with developing Indian Game from Asil, Old English Game and Malay influences. Its account explains a traditional breeding role: males were paired with table breeds such as Sussex, Dorking and Orpington to produce substantial meat birds. This connects the heritage population with later crossing work without equating the pure breed with every commercial hybrid.
