Chantecler Fanciers International was established in 2007 to connect keepers of large fowl and bantams in White, Partridge and Buff. Its public description explains a practical conservation network: a breeder directory, meetings in Canada and the United States, and exchanges of knowledge among breeders, exhibitors and poultry judges.

This matters because a rare population needs more than recognition on a list. Keepers must find stock and share enough information to maintain type and utility through subsequent generations. Club interest in a variety is not the same as APA standard approval, and a breeder directory is not a genetic census. The organization's activities demonstrate how a geographically rooted breed can be supported across borders while its separate breeding histories remain visible.
